Our philosophy is simple: We believe that nature has bestowed us with everything we need to be healthy. When we try to improve nature, it usually backfires. At Acorn Organic Skin Care (a division of Acorn Body Care, Inc.) we pride ourselves in using the absolute best natural and organic solutions to common skin care problems in our fully customized facial treatments.
 All of the products we use in our facials are 100% natural and at least 95% organic. The professional spa skin care brands that we use are firmly aligned with nature. They are committed to preserving the Earth. They are against animal testing. They find the best ingredients from Mother Earth and generously use them in their skin care products. They are elegant. They are effective and oh-so-pleasant to experience.
The quality of products is key in providing our customers the best skin care treatments. But quality products are not themselves going to provide a great facial. This is where skill, experience and knowledge come in. The President and Founder of Acorn Body Care, Inc, Marie Swan Black has been an esthetician since 1996 and a massage therapist since 1992. Having decided to give up massage, she is now shifting the focus of treatment services to offering the only studio in Portland offering exclusively organic facial treatments. In fall of 2008, at the ten year anniversary mark of Acorn Body Care, she decided to change the Portland studio's name to one that accurately reflects the business's main focus: Organic Skin Care.

Since nothing else except the name has changed, you can be sure you will receive the best facial in Portland! Waxing and Cryotherapy for the removal of skin tags and other skin lesions are also part of our service menu.
